Because of the lack of members we have had since our launch, I have decided to hold a small contest to attract people to join. Before I talk about the details, let me just outline the benefits of becoming a member: You do not have to be a “young blogger” to sign up. Registration is open to everyone

1. Ability to post in all the forums
2. Ability to participate in member only raffles and contests
3. Your name listed on the members page
4. Ability to send in a guest post (an author page will automatically be created for you with your bio and a link to your site)

All you need to do to enter the contest is to register for an account with the Youth Bloggers Network. Your name will automatically be added to our roster, and you can begin posting in the forum immediately. The prize will be free advertising (for your blog/site) for two months and $30. The ad spot is a 300×250 square that will appear on the homepage. This contest will last until we have 100 members, then the winner will be contacted for further details. If you wish to ask a question or leave a comment, please visit this post in the forum to leave one.

This is a cool idea. maybe you should make a promotion banner with the contest in it. it would probably help in getting people to click.

That's quite the hefty prize to promise. I do have a quesiton, though. How do you plan on paying the person? (PayPal?) And how long would your ad remain on the site?

The ad will be on the site for 2 months as stated above, and the $30 will be paid via PayPal.
